Marketing & Operations

Dan LaMountain - Director of Advertising & Website Design

    Dan LaMountain, director of advertising and website design, is responsible for all facets of the award-winning Max Spann advertising department. This includes development of the creative graphics, web design, advertising, and internet marketing. 

    A graduate of Kutztown University with a bachelor's degree in advertising, Mr. LaMountain also was the quarterback for the Division II NCAA football team from 1975-77. Prior to joining Max Spann, Mr. LaMountain worked for advertising agencies, packaging, printing, and point of purchase companies. LaMountain's experience includes real estate, builders and developers, insurance, education, financial, travel and entertainment, medical, retail, non-profits and business to business.

    Barbara Gerhardt - Executive Administrative Manager

      Barbara Gerhardt, executive administrative manager, is responsible for the oversight of intercompany office management and is a direct liaison to the Chairman and President. 

      Ms. Gerhardt, who has more than 35 years experience in office administration and management, joined Max Spann 10 years ago. She is a licensed real estate associate.

      Nally Steeves - Senior Project Manager & Closing Coordinator

        Nally Steeves is a Senior Project Manager and Closing Coordinator for Max Spann Real Estate & Auction Co. She is involved with auction preparation, including researching property details, designing and assembling Property Information Packages, and placing and managing online advertising. Additional responsibilities include communicating auction information to customers, search engine optimization, social media, public relations, target market ad design, database management, contract signing and management on Auction Day, and aiding customers throughout the closing process.

        Ms. Steeves has managed sales of every size and type of Real Estate including four hundred townhomes and lots in Philadelphia to large farms and estates.  Ms. Steeves has experience explaining and describing complex Preservation deeds and easements along with home owner association documentation.

        Ms. Steeves has participated in advanced training in Project Management and Marketing and received her bachelor's degree from Ithaca College in Business Administration with a concentration in Management. She is a licensed real estate salesperson in New Jersey.

        Susan Kramer Dann - Project Manager

          Susan Kramer Dann, project manager, helps to execute the firm's auction process by writing, editing, designing and proofreading collateral and marketing materials.

          Ms. Kramer Dann provides customer service and sales support prior to, during, and after an auction event. Before joining the team, Ms. Kramer Dann worked in the technology consulting industry. 

          Ms. Kramer Dann is a licensed real estate salesperson in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and she is a Member of the National Auctioneer Association. Ms. Kramer Dann graduated magna cum laude from Gwynedd-Mercy College with a bachelor's degree in business administration and from Temple University with an interior design certificate.

          Lori Biechy - Project and Marketing Manager

            Lori Biechy is a Project & Marketing Manager for Max Spann Real Estate & Auction Co.  Lori manages auction marketing campaigns from start to the closing including researching property zoning, identifying highest and best uses, and preparing detailed Property Information Packages.  Ms. Biechy’s Marketing responsibilities include creating targeted online marketing campaigns for each sale implementing the companies Social Media strategy.

            Ms. Biechy has her Bachelor’s degree from Misericordia University.  She has been a licensed Pennsylvania auctioneer for 10 years and a licensed Pennsylvania Real Estate Agent for 6 years.  She was awarded “Rookie of the Year” by her peers at her then brokerage.   Attorney’s, Receivers, Banks, Trustees, and owners have entrusted in her to sell their estates, commercial, residential, and land properties through the auction process.

             Ms. Biechy has served as an adjunct professor for the State of Pennsylvania’s Auction Licensing Course at Reading Area Community College where she mentored and educated upcoming auctioneers on how to sell real estate through the auction method.  She generously donates her time for the benefit of multiple charities including the Ronald McDonald House, Boy Scouts of America, local churches and schools.  She also served on the Pennsylvania Auctioneer Association as Secretary/Treasurer for 3 years, Vice President and President for 1 year.  She is also a member of Pennsylvania Association of Realtors and National Association of Realtors. 

            Maria Waclawski - Project Manager

              Maria Waclawski, project manager, assists with pre-auction events, such as open houses, and assists at the auction itself, ensuring bidders and guests have everything they need to participate. 

              Ms. Waclawski's background is in administration and event marketing. Her experience includes 20 years of project managing and executing major national and international events. She is a licensed real estate salesperson in Pennsylvania. Ms. Waclawski is a graduate of Montgomery County Community College with a degree in marketing.
